Refund & Return Policy

At PureSound Records, customer satisfaction is important to us. Due to the collectible and often pre-owned nature of vinyl records, CDs, cassettes, and other media products, please review our refund and return policy carefully before placing an order.

Used & Pre-Owned Items 

Unless otherwise stated, all used/pre-owned items are sold as-is and are carefully graded according to standard collector grading practices.

Because many items are vintage or collectible, minor imperfections, surface marks, sleeve wear, aging, background noise, or cosmetic defects consistent with the assigned grade may be present and are considered normal.

We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges for:

  • Minor cosmetic imperfections consistent with the item grade
  • Surface noise or playback characteristics typical of vintage vinyl
  • Buyer’s remorse
  • Personal sound quality expectations
  • Compatibility issues with playback equipment
  • Opened or used items
  • Discounted or clearance items

All grading is performed as accurately and honestly as possible using industry-standard grading guidelines.

New & Sealed Items

New and factory-sealed items may be eligible for return within 14 days of delivery only if the item remains unopened, unused, and in its original sealed condition.

Opened sealed items are considered used and are non-returnable unless the item is defective due to a manufacturing issue.

If a sealed vinyl record, CD, cassette, or other media product is defective, customers must contact us within 7 days of delivery and provide:

  • Order number
  • Description of the defect
  • Photos or videos when applicable

Approved defective items may qualify for:

  • Replacement (when available)
  • Store credit
  • Partial refund
  • Refund at our discretion

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If you receive an item damaged during shipping or receive the wrong item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

Customers must provide:

  • Order number
  • Clear photos of the item received
  • Photos of the shipping packaging
  • Description of the issue

Failure to report shipping damage within the required timeframe may result in denial of the claim.

Return Authorization Required

No returns will be accepted without prior authorization from PureSound Records.

Unauthorized returns may be refused and returned to sender.

Return Shipping Costs

Unless the error was caused by PureSound Records, customers are responsible for all return shipping costs.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

For approved returns, items must be securely packaged to avoid damage during transit.

Lost, Delayed, or Stolen Packages

PureSound Records is not responsible for packages lost, delayed, stolen, or mishandled by shipping carriers after shipment has been accepted by the carrier.

However, we will reasonably assist customers in opening carrier claims when possible.

Order Cancellations

Orders may only be canceled prior to shipment.

Once an order has shipped, it cannot be canceled.

Chargebacks & Fraud Prevention

We reserve the right to dispute fraudulent chargebacks or abuse of buyer protection systems.

Orders may include:

  • Tracking confirmation
  • Delivery confirmation
  • Packaging documentation
  • Serial/package records
  • Product condition documentation

Any fraudulent activity may be reported to the appropriate payment processor, platform, or authorities when applicable.

Limitation of Liability

PureSound Records shall not be held liable for incidental, indirect, or consequential damages related to the use, condition, delay, or delivery of products sold through this store.

Our maximum liability shall not exceed the original purchase price paid for the item.
